Amelia Fang and The Naughty Caticorns

When I saw this new sparkly pink addition to the Amelia Fang series featuring CATICORNS I was immediately enchanted!

This is the sixth Amelia Fang book, (I know fans are excited to have it) but is just as delightful read on its own. Amelia and her friends babysit her aunt's three adorable caticorns, who wreak havoc throughout the Fang mansion (including the use of glitter paint) and run away! Amelia, with the help of her yeti, ghost, grim reaper and royal vampire friends, their pet pumpkins and two unicorns in a plane set about finding and entertaining the trouble-maker caticorns. One of my favourite moments in this story is when the pet pumpkins show up covered in make up that the cheeky caticorns have painted on them...

This is an incredible cast of ghosts and creatures and Laura Ellen Anderson is so talented to illustrate them wonderfully whilst weaving a crazy adventure with humour and heart at the same time. Amelia's lesson in this story is that she needed to get to know the caticorns and their interests to make them happy - not just give them toys. This then prepares her for her new baby sibling.

I think Amelia being surrounded by bouncing pumpkins, caticorns, unicorns in a plane, glitter paint, 'snotcorn', a ghost in a jar and so much more is an incredibly inspired and entertaining adventure!
